Following the AGM of Badminton South Africa held on Saturday 16th October 2021, we like congratulate Gretha Prinsloo on being elected President of our federation following the recent passing of Dr Klaas Visser.
Gretha has been involved with BSA for many years and is the recipient of many BWF and BCA awards, amongst which:
- the first ever African Women in Badminton Award by the Badminton Confederation Africa (BCA) for the year 2018.
- An award from the BWF for her numerous actions in badminton in Finland at the Sudirman Cup in September 2021.
She has worked as a Referee at all major events in the world, including the 2021 Sudirman Cup, 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia, 2018 BWF World Championships in China and the BWF World Tour Super 1000 in Indonesia.
