As in many sport codes, technical officials play an important role in badminton. It is up to the technical official to ensure that the match is played fairly, and that all decisions are consistent for all players.

There are opportunities for technical officials to expand their experiences. We have technical officials at all levels. Most officiate around South Africa. However, there are South African Technical Officials working in Africa, and all the continents around the world.

However, Technical Officials work in South Africa is currently volunteer work. There is no remuneration.
